The Shimano Tiagra 50WLRSA Long Range Special Lever Reel utilizes Shimano’s famed “L.R.S.” style drag curve. This style reel was originally designed for West Coast anglers who fish “Stand-Up” style from “Long Range” Charter Vessels. The Special-Cutting of the drag cam gives the 50 WLRSA a much wider usable range of drag pressures. Designed to fish heavier line right out of the box, these reels are perfectly suited to long range fishing.
The Shimano Tiagra 50WLRSA is just the right size for offshore trolling or fishing for medium to large sized pelagics.
